WHAT TREATMENT IS THIS?

Carbon Laser Treatment, also known as Carbon Laser Peel or Carbon Laser Rejuvenation, is a non-invasive skin treatment that utilizes laser technology combined with activated carbon to deeply cleanse, exfoliate, and rejuvenate the skin. It is suitable for all skin types and provides both immediate and long-lasting results with minimal downtime, making it an excellent option for addressing acne, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, and dullness.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  1. Application of Carbon: A layer of medical-grade carbon is applied to the skin. The carbon penetrates deep into the pores, where it binds to oil, impurities, and dead skin cells.

  2. Laser Activation: A specialized laser is used to heat and vaporize the carbon. As the laser interacts with the carbon particles, it exfoliates the skin, removes impurities, and stimulates collagen production. The heat from the laser also tightens pores and reduces the appearance of acne scars and pigmentation issues.

BENEFITS

  • Deep Cleansing: Effectively removes dirt, oil, and impurities from pores for a clearer complexion.
  • Exfoliation: Promotes cell turnover, revealing smoother, brighter skin by gently exfoliating the skin’s surface.
  • Shrinks Pores: The heat tightens pores and reduces their size, preventing future breakouts and congestion.
  • Improves Skin Tone & Texture: Targets uneven skin tone, acne scars, and rough texture, resulting in a more even complexion.
  • Stimulates Collagen Production: The laser stimulates collagen and elastin production, leading to firmer, more youthful-looking skin over time.

SUITABLE FOR

Carbon Laser Treatment is effective for individuals experiencing:

  • Acne & Breakouts: Helps clear active acne and prevent future breakouts.
  • Enlarged Pores: Reduces the appearance of large pores.
  • Uneven Skin Tone & Texture: Smooths out rough texture and improves skin tone.
  • Dull Skin: Revitalizes and brightens dull complexions.
  • Acne Scars & Pigmentation: Minimizes the appearance of acne scars, dark spots, and hyperpigmentation.

TREATMENT PLAN

For best results, treatments are recommended every 1.5-2 months. The number of sessions can be customized to individual needs, and maintenance treatments help sustain results over time.

RECOVERY TIME

Carbon Laser Treatment involves minimal downtime. You may experience slight redness or mild irritation immediately after the treatment, but this usually subsides within a few hours. Most clients can return to their normal activities right after the session.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

Each session includes:

  • Deep detox cleanse to prepare the skin
  • Application of the carbon solution to absorb impurities
  • Laser treatment to vaporize carbon and exfoliate the skin
  • Aftercare application to soothe and protect the skin
  • Optional LED therapy for additional skin rejuvenation

Additional modalities may be added at no extra cost to address specific skin concerns.

PRE-TREATMENT GUIDELINES

  1. Avoid Sun Exposure: Avoid direct sun exposure, sun-tanning, spray-tanning, and sunbeds for 2-4 weeks before treatment. Sun exposure can increase the risk of irritation or hyperpigmentation.

  2. Discontinue Exfoliants: Stop using exfoliating products such as retinoids, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and scrubs 5-7 days before treatment to prevent irritation and over-sensitivity.

  3. Use SPF: Begin using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily leading up to the treatment. This helps protect the skin from UV damage and prepares it for the laser.

  4. Avoid Chemical Peels and Laser Treatments: Refrain from undergoing other resurfacing treatments like chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or laser therapies for at least 4 weeks prior to Carbon Laser Treatment.

  5. Consultation: If you have any skin conditions or medical concerns, consult with your specialist to ensure the treatment is suitable for you.

POST-TREATMENT AFTERCARE

  1. Apply Sunscreen: Your skin will be more sensitive after treatment, so it’s essential to apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily. This will protect your skin from harmful UV rays and prevent post-treatment pigmentation.

  2. Avoid Exfoliation: Do not use exfoliating products (e.g., scrubs, retinoids, acids) for at least 7 days post-treatment to allow your skin to heal and avoid irritation.

  3. Hydrate: Keep your skin hydrated by using a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturizer. This will help soothe the skin and maintain the plumping, hydrating effects of the treatment.

  4. Avoid Heat Exposure: Refrain from hot showers, saunas, and steam rooms for 48 hours after treatment to prevent further irritation.

  5. Avoid Makeup (if sensitive): If your skin feels sensitive after the treatment, avoid wearing makeup for the first 24 hours. Light, non-comedogenic makeup can be applied after this period.

  6. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to aid in skin recovery and maintain hydration from within.

WHAT TO AVOID

  • Direct Sun Exposure: Avoid prolonged sun exposure for at least 48-72 hours post-treatment to prevent hyperpigmentation and irritation.

  • Exfoliants: Refrain from using products containing retinoids, acids (AHA/BHA), and other exfoliants for 7-10 days after the procedure to prevent irritation and redness.

  • Heat & Sweat: Avoid activities that generate excessive heat, such as intense workouts, saunas, and steam rooms for at least 48 hours post-treatment to prevent irritation.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

  1. Active Skin Infections or Conditions: Avoid Carbon Laser Treatment if you have active infections, open sores, eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea in the treatment area.

  2. Accutane Use: If you have used Accutane within the last 6 months, Carbon Laser Treatment should be avoided due to the heightened sensitivity of the skin.

  3. Pregnancy or Breastfeeding: Consult your healthcare provider before undergoing Carbon Laser Treatment during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

  4. Recent Cosmetic Procedures: Wait at least 2-4 weeks after undergoing chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or other laser treatments before scheduling Carbon Laser Treatment.

  5. Photosensitivity: If you are taking medications that cause photosensitivity (e.g., certain antibiotics or antihistamines), consult with your clinician before treatment.

  6. Herpes Simplex Virus: If you are prone to cold sores, notify your specialist, as Carbon Laser Treatment can trigger an outbreak. Antiviral medication may be recommended as a precaution.
